La Farm Bakery, meanwhile, is one of the best places in town for authentic French and American fare, including a selection of pastries and coffees.
When it comes to shopping, it’s hard to beat the Parkside Shopping Center, a spacious open-air mall with a bowling alley and a movie theater in addition to more than 55 shops, restaurants, and services. Fenton is another top mall in town, with retailers like Lululemon and Williams Sonoma from which to choose.
Things to Do
Cary is known for its community festivals and events, starting with the Spring Daze Arts and Crafts Festival in Bond Park. More than 170 artists take part to showcase the range of creativity that exists within the North Carolina community. Further along in the summer, Cary hosts a similar event. The Lazy Daze Arts and Crafts Festival welcomes all to downtown Cary for a weekend of live entertainment, local food vendors, and, of course, arts and crafts. Festival in the West is another community event that presents local artists and vendors, invites residents to participate in fun activities and contests, and has a corral and petting zoo for kids to enjoy.
